Im 15 and I was at a store yesterday trying on suits for an upcoming event. These two salesladies were helping me and were saying how the pants looked stuffed. Then one of them got the idea for pantyhose. They said it was very common for men to wear pantyhose with a suit. One of them ran and got a package of pantyhose from the womens part of the store and told me i should try it on. I dont like conflict so i said ok and tried them on. They said everything looked much better and sleeker. I told them that the pantyhose were kind of pulling at my leg hair and she said that wasnt a problem. She told me we could get rid of that hair no problem and called up some other store in the mall. She told me to go the store and I went there and they said that i was the boy here for the bikini wax. They said it would be no charge and gave me the bikini wax. I was the only man there and was quite embarrasing wearing this thing ? Should i have let them do this and should i wear pantyhose under my suit?
no,but listen to them, and wear them if u think u look better!!! i think a guy wood look hott in pantyhose
Anyone wear compression pantyhose during pregnancy to prevent spider veins?
Genetically I am doomed to get spider veins. I have never seen my mom wear shorts, and I don’t want to be like that. I am 1 month into my third pregnancy and am starting to get those lovely little purple veins on my legs. I know that if I don’t do something quick they are going to get darker. I know all about exercise, elevating your feet, bla, bla, bla. Even if I do all of that I am doomed genetically (I can probably reduce the amount I get by doing all of that stuff, but not stop them all). So has anyone had luck with those compression support pantyhose that claim to prevent spider veins? If so, which ones are the best? There are many online stores with different prices. Are the $83 ones better than the $25 ones? Do they even help?
The $25.00 are probably just as good as the richie fritzy priced ones. Do not forget the vitamin E oil on your “feeders” and tummy to stop the stretch marks. I remembered my belly, forgot the milk-makers. I don’t have to tell you where I got the stretch marks!
One of the many concerns of people who have undergone a colostomy procedure is keeping their ostomy bags while maintaining their wardrobe. While ostomy bags are a necessity for them, how to dress acceptably and with comfort is still a major concern.
Fortunately with the release of new models of ostomy bags and other ostomy appliances, fashion no longer poses as a problem. There are already body-conscious products available in the market that assure ostomates of a perfect fit and privacy.
If you want your ostomy to not interfere with you fashion sense and at the same time your comfort, you can try talking to you surgeon and your ET nurse about the placement of your stoma before the surgery even takes place. Choose a position for the stoma which is most comfortable for your lifestyle. Some people avoid the waistline because the belts and pants rub against it.
However, there are circumstances that the patient can not choose where the stoma will be positioned like in emergencies. Here are fashion tips you can rely on when you need your ostomy bags worn the most private but comfortable way:
Closed or Mini-pouches
Visit different suppliers because they can show you ostomy bags that are either closed or mini-pouches. Closed ones are rinsed out for re-use or thrown away when they are full. The other type are drainable but are smaller in size which are ideal for travel, swimming, formal occasions and intimate moments.
Pantyhose and suspenders
If you are comfortable wearing a pantyhose, you should use one because it hold ostomy bags or a different appliance in place close to the body. However, consider thigh-highs which have rubber grips in the top to hold them up if your stoma gets irritated by a pantyhose. On the other hand, men can wear suspenders to keep their trousers up if ordinary belts irritate the stoma.
Pleats
Wearing pants and skirts can make your ostomy bags obvious because they have the tendency to bulge. This is when pants and skirts with pleats are useful yet fashionable because they help disguise the location of the bag or the appliance.
Fabric
If you need to wear silk or fine knits, wear a loose slip underneath them or cover the ostonomy bag with a fabric cover to prevent it from showing through. For more information visit to our site at https://www.edgepark.com
