Why do they show…?
Why in soap operas or some movies- they show the bride undressed in lingerie as she is getting ready for the wedding?
Because they can’t show her in the dress. Showing the dress on a soap means the wedding isn’t happening. If you see lingerie and not the dress, there’s a chance the wedding will happen. But if you see the dress you might as well prepare yourself for the “shock” of it not happening.
Also, why not show it? Women usually do wear lingerie under their wedding gowns. It’s just portraying reality.
