The mere mention of a yeast infection makes most women cringe. Yeast infections take many forms however, and are not limited to vaginal infections.

THRUSH
Thrush is a type of Candida infection which appears most commonly in the mouth. If left untreated or if infection is severe, thrush can spread to the esophagus and hinder swallowing.

MOUTH RINSE
A homemade mouth rinse of 1-part hydrogen peroxide and 2-parts warm water is usually all the treatment needed. Gargle and rinse mouth 4-times daily. Over-the-counter mouth antiseptics will work in much the same fashion.
LOZENGES
Mouths which are dry can be soothed with lozenges. Throat lozenges containing clotrimazole also work to keep bacteria and fungus at bay.

TEA TREE OIL
You can reduce inflammation, pain, and burning by applying tea tree oil directly to the affected skin. Apply topically up to 3-times daily.
MARIGOLD
Marigold can be mixed into a small amount of petroleum jelly and applied to the skin. You can apply marigold twice daily.
PREVENTION
Always wear cotton socks.
Wear shoes that breathe or provide for adequate ventilation.
Don’t wear socks to bed.
Wash feet several times daily.
Use powder or cornstarch to help absorb sweat and moisture.
