Stylistas, how should I accessorize my prom dress?

I’m 5′7-5′8 and I’m thinking of wearing red pumps for some sassy contrast and sheer black pantyhose, but I’m not sure what kind of necklace I should wear with it. I want to wear pearls for a more classic look, but I don’t know if I want something delicate on a chain or a chunkier statement necklace.
Also, any thoughts for hair–I’m thinking an updo of some sort, but I’m not sure. Links would be appreciated 
yeah, the red pumps would look awesome with it!
pearls would be very pretty, but i’d go with a chunkier necklace. delicate doesn’t really go with red pumps and the black lace on the dress haha(;
I would have a wavy/curly updo, it’s the prettiest trend these days for prom (:
