pantyhose with open toed shoes
Tights and open front shoes?

I have a pair of fergalicious shoes that are black leather and a cross between a boot and a high heel. They are kind of open in the back but strap around the ankle like a boot. The front have a slit and a open toe. My question is would you wear them with tights, foot less tights, pantyhose, or neither? I wore them with black tights because it was cold and I was not going to wear my dress with out tights but my boyfriend thinks I should have worn pantyhose. Please tell me what ya think. Thanks.
footless leggins really? It seems like you should not have your toes and feet all exposed to the cold but keep the input coming.

Black tights are fine. If you look at celebrity sites you’ll see that dark opaque tights and open toe bootie/sandal hybrid shoes are no longer a total fashion faux pas and very frequently paired together. In the winter it’s far too cold to go barefoot or bare legged! Opaque tights are modern, trendy and help give balance to the sometimes heavy look of the bootie/sandal hybrid shoe. These shoes can look bottom-heavy on a bare leg or on a leg wearing plain old sheer, leg colored pantyhose. With a dark opaque leg you have better balance and a more flattering overall proportion to the leg. Opaque tights make almost any outfit look younger, hipper and more modern, which is what fashion as all about. Overall, sheer leg colored hose is still a fashion no-no unless you are over the age of 55. They look overly mature and make you look older than your really are.
