Underbust corsets…Do they work and do they aid in weight loss?
Worn tight-ish corsets for a while and, as far as i understand, wearing a tight corset helps you lose weight because it makes you eat less and helps you to breath in/hold in your stomach muscles.
Would this work just as well with an underbust corset worn under clothes?
But i’ve heard that this doesnt actually work because it shifts excess weight to just to below and above the underbust corset…is that right?
And whats the difference between an underbust corset and a waspie?
Any other advice that might be able to help me?
Thank you. x
Not being scammed…havent bought one yet and just wanted to know if it works.
Cant just eat less and exercise more…Severely disabled and can only walk a couple of steps really. Thats exercise for me lol. Spine based so theres not much my physiotherapist can do. Gone down to eating 400calories a day before but it did nothing. Cant eat more than 1000 before putting on even more weight.
It shapes your waistline. Women after they’ve had babies, they wear it day & night and their belly shape improve.
Brooke Burke sells one similar belly wrap in her website, and she’s had 3 children and a model and she looks beautiful still.
Mom wore one all her life and she’s got a small shapely waistline.
A PROPER corset is completely different from a basque or waspie, neither of which are designed to pull in the waist. The real thing comes in two halves, laced together at the back and fastening at the front with a steel busk, with springy spirals in the lining all the way round to give that wonderful hour glass shape (whalebone has not been used for many years).
All this metal may sound cumbersome, but don’t let it put you off. Today’s styles are light and flexible and surprisingly comfortable. Many people find the sensation of being gently held straight with the back supported almost relaxing.
Being laced into a corset can be an exquisitely sensual experience; the laces slide across your back as they are pulled gradually in from the top and bottom towards the middle, and the sensation is of being embraced tighter and tighter. You don’t have to pull in to a Scarlet O’Hara 18 inches – you may be content with the corset just hugging you or you can lace down to an iron grip. When you order, giving your own measurements, we select the best size for you to ensure a snug fit all over. A corset should mould itself to your body after you have worn it a few times and you can gradually lace a bit tighter if you wish.
First time wearers are usually surprised and delighted when they look in the mirror; corsets enhance any woman’s body, giving not just a smaller waist, but the impression of fuller breasts and hips, giving a feeling of intense femininity.

I have purchased some waist training corsets recently, and purchased a waspie without thinking. The problem is when I received I was too stupid to think ahead about how i would get it on as it’s very durable with no stretch.
My measurements are 42-29-40, so I can’t pull the corset over my bust or my waist because they are so much bigger, yet a larger corset would be pointless for waist reduction.
Is there a way to put this on that i am overlooking/ or is this style not for me? : (
If there is no way to open this then no, you’ve just wasted your money. I’m guessing if there is no opening on it there will be no way of making it tighter either so really not that good for training your waist anyway. Just stick the waspie on ebay and hope someone else with less boob to squeeze thru buys it.
