so i ordered sum off ebay and low and behold one peice is too big in the chest (its a corset kind and its tied up tightest it can be) and the other is a referee sports dress and its too long and too big in the best. of course no returns accepted. do you think these can be easily altered?
take it to your local seamstress or tailor or whatever and find out how much it will be or if they can do it =D
I’m putting together a guest bedroom and need color suggestions for the paint/walls, area rug, and bedding. The woods in the pieces are a bit dark, so I want to brighten it up. The existing wood floor is a medium brown, not too dark or light. I am not afraid of bright colors, but like darker colors as well. Below are pics of the main pieces I have. If you want to go with cool colors, go with the color on the wall in the first picture. That is sort of a “spa” color and really popular right now. It is so beautiful and easy to match anything to. I would even use a sisal type rug, similar to what is in that picture.
If you want to do warmer colors, do a muted out rich orange. It shows exceptionally well on bedroom walls and instantly makes a room feel rich, warm, inviting and very interesting. Personally, I think your furniture will do better with warm colors, but it definitely comes down to your taste. If you want to go with a theme, try Indian. It is easy to find bedding and accessories.
