Why do women not wear pantyhose anymore?
I was just wondering what changed in the fashion world that said that it was unfashionable for women to wear pantyhose anymore? I have a huge fetish for this and just wish that women still wore them as often as they use to. I know that tights are in style and that most women think pantyhose are uncomfortable, but they will wear tights. Just does not make any sense to me. I think that pantyhose on a woman makes them look much more classy and well put togeather.
I think what happened in the fashion world was the emergence of “casual” work days. Pantyhose have always been synonymous with “professional” work attire and as more companies got away from that, more women stopped wearing hosiery all together. Our society has changed from dressing up to look good, to now dressing down to feel good. Now the younger generations of girls have never worn pantyhose and really don’t see them as a necessity. I’m personally a little old school and dress more conservatively and wear pantyhose everyday for work. So there are still some of us out there that do agree with you that pantyhose class up and complete a woman’s outfit.
